Senator Scott accuses Attorney General Merrick Garland and the DOJ of harassing opponents and protecting the Biden Administration and members of the Biden family.
“If the DOJ can be weaponized against the former president, it can be weaponized against any individual.”
In an interview with "New Hampshire Today’s" Chris Ryan, 2024 Republican Presidential Candidate, US Senator from South Carolina, Tim Scott discusses how his campaign is going; accuses Merrick Garland and Christopher Wray of weaponizing the Department of Justice and the FBI to intimidate political enemies of the Biden Administration; calls for a Special Prosecutor to investigate the Biden Family corruption charges; advocates the teaching of traditional American values in our schools; gives his position on whether Ukraine should be made a member of NATO; states his hope that President Trump will be participating in the Republican Presidential Debates on August 23rd; and predicts where job growth will occur in the next decade.
Senator Scott is more than satisfied with where he is in the standings in the polls and the reactions from voters that he has been getting on the campaign trail.
“I’m in the great position of having room to rise.”
In reaction to FBI Director Christopher Wray’s testimony in Congress today, Senator Scott accuses Attorney General Merrick Garland and his Department of Justice of having a two-tier system which harasses and intimidates political opponents but protects the Biden Administration and members of the Biden family.
“We need to restore confidence in the Department of Justice by restoring the blindfold of Lady Justice. We all should be concerned. If the DOJ can be weaponized against the former president, it can be weaponized against any individual.”
If elected President, Tim Scott would appoint a special prosecutor to follow up on the evidence found by Congressman Comer and Senator Grassley which has uncovered a possible bribery scheme involving Hunter and then Vice President Biden.
Although he is a person of faith, Senator Scott does not support having Bible study in our schools, but he does favor teaching traditional American values. The Senator also spoke favorably about the recently passed New Hampshire Parents Bill of Rights.
Senator Scott also weighed in on the question of whether Ukraine should be admitted into NATO.
“Entering Ukraine into NATO, in my opinion, in the midst of a war, is not the right objective. The only objective should be degrading the Russian military, and we’ll deal with NATO membership after victory has been won by Ukraine.”
There is a possibility that President Trump might not participate in the first debate for the Republican Presidential Candidates which is scheduled for August 23rd. Senator Scott believes that the voters deserve to see and hear from all of the candidates.
In the final segment of the interview, Senator Scott predicts that in the next ten years job growth will occur in energy, technology, and high tech manufacturing.
