Senator Tim Scott disputes that he has been successful despite systemic racism in America:

“If I can rise from the wrong side of the proverbial tracks to the height of opportunity in this nation, that means that any kid from any zip code from any time can rise above his circumstances.”

In an interview with New Hampshire Today’s Chris Ryan, Republican Presidential Candidate and US Senator from South Carolina, Tim Scott discusses how he would balance climate concerns with US economic prosperity; speaks about getting India, China, and Africa to be more concerned with climate issues; as a follow up to his appearance on The View, shares his views about systemic racism in America; and lays out what he would do, as President, to make the American Dream available to more people.

Senator Scott would balance climate concerns with US economic prosperity by bringing home more manufacturing and take steps to renew use of American energy. The Senator believes that his plan would improve the world’s climate problems because our environmental policies and US petroleum and natural gas are cleaner energy sources than those used in China and India.

Growing the American economy would, according to the Senator, would be the best way to get China, India, and the African continent to work toward lowering their carbon footprint.

“The competition for global economic leadership starts with the economic success of the Unite States of America.”

Recently, Senator Scott appeared on The View and gained a great deal of attention when he had an interesting exchange with Whoopi Goldberg and Sonny Hostin on the topic of systemic racism.

“The truth of my life disproves the lies of the left, as it relates to systemic racism and their ability to weaponize race and class to get power and control over our decisions.”

The Senator maintains that he has been successful, not because he is the exception due to systemic racism in our country, but because America is a land of opportunity.

“If I can rise from the wrong side of the proverbial tracks to the height of opportunity in this nation, that means that any kid from any zip code from any time can rise above his circumstances.”

If he were to become President, Tim Scott would implement his opportunity agenda which involves improved educational opportunities, especially for students in rural areas and inner cities. He also would stimulate economic growth by cutting taxes and regulations, an he would protect the American people by closing our southern border.
