Whether it’s Donald Trump or herself, Nikki Haley says the Republican Party must offer the American people solutions that will bring them results.

“Americans are tired of all the drama. They’re tired of all the negativity. They want to know what you’re going to do for them, and they want you to keep your word at it.”

In an interview with WGIR’s Chris Ryan, former South Carolina Governor, former UN Ambassador, and 2024 Presidential Candidate, Nikki Haley explains why she has been critical of Governor Ron DeSantis; lays out the issues which voters have brought up in the town hall meetings which she has held in the Granite State; discusses the message which Republicans need to have in order to win in 2024; talks about how she would deal with our $31 trillion debt and the current negotiations to raise the debt ceiling; gives a negative assessment of how the Trump Administration handled the COVID crisis; and, as Memorial Day Weekend approaches, gives an impassioned plea for improved services for veterans.

When she was asked why she has made critical remarks and a campaign ad mocking Governor DeSantis rather than the Republican front runner, Donald Trump, Governor Haley explained that DeSantis was trying too hard to mimic Trump’s mannerisms and policy positions.

Based on feedback which she has received in thirty New Hampshire Town Hall events, Ambassador Haley believes that the campaign will be based on policies not personalities. Granite Staters want to know what the candidates will do about inflation, the debt, education, the open border, crime, drugs, and national security.

Whoever the GOP candidate is in 2024, whether it’s Donald Trump or herself, Governor Haley is convinced that there must be a message that Republican Party is offering the American people solutions that will bring them results.

“Americans are tired of all the drama. They’re tired of all the negativity. They want to know what you’re going to do for them, and they want you to keep your word at it.”

As the debt ceiling negotiations are being conducted in Washington and the US Debt Clock approaches $32 trillion, Governor Haley reveals her accountant background and blames both political parties for our current fiscal predicament. If she were President, she would get back the unused COVID money, go after COVID cheats, stop borrowing money, and she would veto any spending proposal which doesn’t go back to pre-COVID levels.

“When we realize that it’s not the government’s money, it’s the peoples’ money, that’s when we’ll be able to deal with the debt.”

After acknowledging that the Trump Administration probably did the best that they could in dealing with the COVID crisis, Nikki Haley then went on to list what she learned about crisis management as a two-term governor. She emphasized the importance of transparency, having a unified voice in communications, and the ineffectiveness of mandates.

“They didn’t trust the American people to make the best decisions for them and their families. We should never get into a situation where government mandates how people live.”

In the last segment of the interview, Nikki Haley, as the wife of a combat veteran, discusses the importance of taking good care of active military and of our veterans. As another Memorial Day is about to be celebrated, she declares that we should be ashamed that there are 33,000 homeless veterans, in addition, there is an alarming suicide rate among our Iraq and Afghan vets.
