On NH Today, Bolduc Questions FBI Raid of Trump's Home in FL

General Don Bolduc says that the FBI mishandled their raid on Trump’s home and should have announced their intentions beforehand, “This just fuels the flames for 50% of America who support President Trump. It just sows more distrust and discontent. That’s the last thing that we need.”

In an interview with WGIR’s Chris Ryan, retired Brigadier General Don Bolduc, who is a leading Republican candidate for the US Senate, reacts to the FBI raid on President Trump’s home at Mar-a-Lago.

Don Bolduc has two major Republican opponents for the primary on September 13, 2022—NH Senator, Chuck Morse, and former Londonderry Town Manager, Kevin Smith. The winner then squares off against the incumbent, Senator Maggie Hassan.

General Bolduc enlisted in the US Army at age eighteen and rose through the ranks to Brigadier General. After 36 years of service, including 10 tours of duty in Afghanistan, five Bronze Stars and two Purple Hearts, Don Bolduc retired in 2017. General Bolduc has degrees in criminal justice, sociology, strategic studies, and business technology.

General Bolduc is concerned that the FBI handled this raid on the home of a former president in a heavy-handed manner which will only further divide and politicize this event.

“I’d be concerned if this was a raid on President Obama’s or Clinton’s or Bush’s or any president’s home.”

Instead of an unannounced raid, Bolduc believes that the FBI should have had a news conference stating their intention to retrieve the subpoenaed documents after coordinating their arrival with President Trump.

“This just fuels the flames for 50% of America who support President Trump. It just sows more distrust and discontent. That’s the last thing that we need.”

General Bolduc feels that too many politicians and news outlets are only interested in causing divisiveness by making sensational tweets and comments.

As a political outsider, the General feels that he can bring a different perspective and bring change to a broken system.

However, when he compares himself to his opponents in the Republican Primary, General Bolduc cites his background in the Pentagon or overseas with heads of state in Africa and Afghanistan.

“I’m the only one running in this race who has national level experience, who has worked with the FBI, who has worked with the CIA, that’s worked with every interagency partner that we had.”
