On NH Today, Rick Scott to Joe Biden: 'Resign, You're Not Up For The Job'

Florida Senator Rick Scott calls for Biden to resign, “They ought to go to him and say, ‘Come on, Joe, you can’t do the job. You’re not up to it, and your ideas are horrible.’ He ought to get out of the job.”

In an interview with WGIR’s Chris Ryan, US Senator from Florida and former governor of the Sunshine State and currently the Chair of the National Republican Senatorial Committee, Rick Scott predicts a GOP victory in the New Hampshire Senate race; attacks Maggie Hassan’s record on energy, immigration, and abortion; criticizes the Biden Administration’s handling of the supply chain disruption issues, such as the baby formula shortage; defends his Eleven Point Save America Plan; calls for President Biden’s resignation; and describes the qualities that he wants in the next president.

Senator Scott is in the Granite State to speak at the Lincoln-Reagan Fundraising Dinner in Sullivan County on Friday night and to campaign for Republican candidates in the 2022 election.

“It’s going to be fun. We’re going to have a Republican Senator from New Hampshire, starting in January.”

The junior Senator from Florida believes that incumbent Democrat Senator Maggie Hassan’s record on energy, immigration, abortion, and her support for President Biden’s policies are not in synch with New Hampshire voters.

“Biden’s numbers are bad. Her numbers are bad, and she votes with Joe Biden almost 100% of the time.”

Senator Scott describes how he took a proactive approach to problems when he was the two-term governor of Florida; and, for that reason, he is very critical of the Biden Administration’s handling of the supply chain problems.

“There’s a problem. They’re like an ostrich. They put their head in the sand and do nothing. Then, when that doesn’t work, they say it’s somebody else’s fault.”

As an example, the Senator described how the Biden Administration has waited for three months to deal with the baby formula shortage. Drawing on his experience as a businessman, the Senator went on to blame the choices which President Biden has made to head the various government agencies and departments.

“The Biden Administration is full of do-nothing people that have no background in ever getting anything done. . . You would never in your wildest dream hire any of these people.”

Recently, President Biden criticized Senator Scott’s Eleven Point Rescue America Plan, saying that it would raise taxes on the middle class. The Senator attempted to clarify his plan and denied that it would raise taxes.

The most significant part of the interview is when Senator Scott went beyond his previous call to remove President Biden by invoking the Twenty Fifth Amendment and calls for Biden to resign.

“They ought to go to him and say, ‘Come on, Joe, you can’t do the job. You’re not up to it, and your ideas are horrible.’ He ought to get out of the job.”

In the final segment of the interview, Senator Scott sidestepped whether President Trump will be the Republican presidential candidate in 2024. The Senator believes that the voters will decide based on who they want to hire someone who can solve the problems that confront us at that time.
