On NH Today, Morse Vows to Make an Impact in DC

Chuck Morse feels that Maggie Hassan should have used her influence to do more for the Granite State.

In an interview with WGIR’s Chris Ryan, the President of the New Hampshire State Senate and Republican candidate for the US Senate, Chuck Morse, states his reasons for running against Maggie Hassan; discusses why he disagrees with President Trump’s call for pardoning  the individuals who participated in the attack on the Capitol Building on January 6th; acknowledges that Joe Biden is our duly elected president; outlines the principles for which the Republican Party should stand; criticizes Senator Hassan for being more focused on the interests of Washington than New Hampshire; shares what he considers the important qualities of a Supreme Court Justice; and talks about the steps needed to improve the economy.

As a member of the New Hampshire Senate, Chuck Morse has been the architect of our state budgets, and he believes that he can use those same skills on a federal level.

“Washington is definitely out of control, and I think that the common sense that we govern with in New Hampshire is what we should be bringing to Washington. We have fiscal discipline here, and we provide for those who need it the most.”

Senator Morse believes that the January 6th attackers of the Capitol should be prosecuted and not pardoned, as suggested by President Trump. In addition, Chuck Morse favors prosecuting people who participated in riots last summer or people illegally crossing our southern border.

To the disappointment of Trump supporters who still maintain that the 2020 election was stolen, Senator Morse stated that Joe Biden is our duly elected president.

When he was asked which principles should guide the Republican Party, Chuck Morse called for the GOP to stand for protecting our border by enforcing existing immigration laws and to return to having energy independence.

Candidate Morse criticizes Maggie Hassan for not fighting hard enough for New Hampshire maintaining its first in the nation primary status and to prevent the federalizing of the election process.

“She has basically gone to Washington and sided with Washington on everything. That’s wrong. We fight for New Hampshire and New Hampshire values.”

With the Senate evenly divided, Chuck Morse feels that Maggie Hassan should have used her influence to do more for the Granite State, like Senator Manchin of West Virginia did.

“An infrastructure bill passed, and New Hampshire comes in fifty-first. Washington, DC got more money for highways than we did.”

As senator, Chuck Morse would consider the selection of a Supreme Court Justice an important decision where he would consider the background and temperament of the nominee, but he does favor justices who take a conservative or originalist view of interpreting the Constitution.

In the last segment of the interview, Senator Morse listed the steps needed to get our economy turned around: energy independence; border control; an America first approach; and fiscal responsibility.
