Bruins Captain Patrice Bergeron

On The Press Pass with Chris Ryan, the Bruins, star forward, Patrice Bergeron, discusses their first-round opponent, the Washington Capitals; MVP contender, Brad Marchand evaluates the Bruins chances playoffs begin; Taylor Hall talks about how his confidence has grown since coming to the Bruins; Bruins Head Coach Bruce “Butchie” Cassidy assesses Taylor Hall’s progress since coming to the team and shares how he plans to match up the Bruins lines with the Capitals; David Pastrnak chats about motivation; and Kevan Miller, who has dealt with serious injuries, talks about his nomination for the Masterson Award for Perseverance and Sportsmanship.

Patrice Bergeron expects a hard-fought series between two teams with similar skill sets and approaches to the game.

“Washington is a team that has high energy, plays physical, has high end talent, and is very deep throughout the line-up.”

Brad Marchand feels that the Bruins are very confident as they make their run for the Stanley Cup.

“I love our group. I think we have all the makings ofa contending team. We’re deep all the way through from the forwards to the D to the goalies.”

Taylor Hall believes that he has gained confidence in his play by observing the hard work and skills of Brad Marchand every day. He also credits the chemistry which has developed with his teammates.

Butchie Cassidy is very pleased with how Taylor has worked hard to fit in with the Bruins since the trade and believes that he is ready for the playoffs. Coach Cassidy breaks down line by line the matchups which the Bruins will have with the large, skilled Capitals’s line-up.

“We’ll mix and match until we get the right pair against the opposition.”

David Pastrnak talks about how is pleased with his play lately. As a goal scorer, Pastrnak uses the amount of attention defenses have been giving him as motivation.

Kevan Miller, the veteran defenseman, says that he relied on his family, teammates, and his faith during the year-long rehab from a broken kneecap.
