On NH Today, Liz Cheney Won't Rule Out Running For President in 2024

Liz Cheney on the future of the Republican Party, “We have to have a reverence for the rule of law. We have to say that the 2020 election was not stolen, and the former president is lying when he says that it was. We have to embrace the Constitution and not the big lie.”

In an interview with Chris Ryan, Congresswoman Cheney discussed how her treatment by the House GOP Leader, Kevin McCarthy, might affect Republican turnout in the 2022 midterm elections and the 2024 Presidential election; describes the timeline of when Congressman Kevin McCarthy’s decided that she needed to be removed; discloses whether she will be a Presidential candidate in 2024; evaluates whether the Republicans will have any input in the President Biden’s $3.9 trillion infrastructure bill; reflects on the recent battle which she has fought for her right to express her opinions; and talks about the hacking of the Colonial Pipeline and how our country should prepare for future acts of cyberwarfare.

Liz Cheney is the embattled Congressional Representative from Wyoming who has been removed from her leadership position in the Republican caucus in the House of Representatives for her outspoken criticism of President Trump.

Cheney, who is the daughter of former Vice President Dick Cheney, is one of the ten Republicans who voted to impeach President Trump for his role in the January 6, 2021 storming by his supporters of the US Capitol Building. She has also spoken out against Trump’s claims of the election being stolen.

In order for the Republicans to take back the House and Senate in 2022 and the White House in 2024, Liz Cheney believes that the GOP must do what it can to win back the voters who turned away from the party in the last election by acting responsibly and showing that they can be trusted.

“We have to have a reverence for the rule of law. We have to say that the 2020 election was not stolen, and the former president is lying when he says that it was. We have to embrace the Constitution and not the big lie.”

Congresswoman Cheyney points out that she fell out of favor with House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy after he made a trip to Mar-a-Lago to meet with former President Trump in late January of 2021.

Today, Liz Cheney was replaced as Republican Conference Chair, the third highest ranking representative, by a Trump loyalist, Congresswoman Elise Stefanick from New York.

When she was asked whether she is considering a presidential run in 2024, Congresswoman Cheney neither confirmed nor denied her possible candidacy.
