Manchester, N.H. Melee Ends With 10 Arrested, 2 Stabbed

MANCHESTER, N.H. (WBZ NewsRadio) — Two people were stabbed and ten people were arrested on Saturday after a melee in Manchester, New Hampshire, police said.

Manchester police said two women came into Elliot Hospital around 6 p.m. Saturday suffering from stab wounds. Police determined through an investigation that the two injuries stemmed from the same incident--a brawl that broke out during a large gathering in the area of Auburn and Cedar streets.

According to police, a fight that started between two men escalated to involving multiple people, including a woman--Angelina Marie Gagne, 19, of Manchester--who allegedly began swinging a hatchet. Two people were struck and suffered non-life-threatening stab wounds, police said.

Ten people were arrested in connection with the brawl. Gagne was charged with First Degree Assault and Felony Riot. Nine other people were charged with Felony Riot: David Mekkelsen, 20, of Manchester; Gavin Christo, 20, of Manchester; Kristin Vieira, 38, of Manchester; Liam Adams, 18, of Manchester; David Lafond, 19, of Manchester; Owen Rood, 18, of Manchester; Debra Cruz, 42, of Manchester; Scott Rood, 24, of Nottingham; and Madison Rood-Parker, 18, of Manchester.

The investigation is ongoing.
