Massachusetts Student Being Honored At The Cannes Film Festival

CANNES, FRANCE (WBZ-AM) -- Madison Williams of Newbury,MA is missing her own graduation from Clemson University in South Carolina.

That's because a short documentary she produced "136"  is being screened at the famed Cannes Film Festival in France. That's where she is now.

The 5-minute documentary tells the story of Bryson Carter who lost his eyesight while enrolled at Clemson -- yet he attended 136 consecutive football games.

Williams who is a student filmmaker, is experiencing an honor that most film-makers only dream: of getting their work to be shown at the exclusive film festival

She says that she sees missing her own graduation to attend the screening as an opportunity of a lifetime.
