In an interview at WGIR with Chris Ryan, Gail Huff Brown, who is running for election to the House of Representatives from New Hampshire’s First Congressional District, responds to news reports that her principal Republican opponent, Matt Mowers, voted twice in the 2016 Presidential Primary; explains why, at this point in her life, she has decided to enter politics; concedes that Joe Biden is the president but he won it due to loop holes in the election process caused by the COVID pandemic; outlines a seven point plan to ensure election integrity; and gives her analysis of the situation in Ukraine
Gail Huff Brown is a broadcast journalist and wife to former US Senator and Ambassador Scott Brown. On September 13, one of the seven Republican candidates will be chosen in a primary election to run against incumbent Chris Pappas in the general election less than a month later on November 8.
Matt Mowers, who ran unsuccessfully against Chris Pappas in 2020, had been the Republican front runner in the Republican Primary until it was revealed that he voted twice during the Presidential Primaries in 2016. Mowers voted in the New Hampshire Primary, when he was part of the Chris Christie team and again four months later in New Jersey, when he had joined the Trump team.

In light of allegations made by many people, especially by Republicans, that there was voter fraud in the last presidential election, Gail Huff Brown believes that it is imperative that her party’s candidate should stand for voter integrity.
Gail Huff Brown believes that Matt Mowers should consider withdrawing from the race, but she leaves the decision to him.
After she returned home her husband’s post as Ambassador to New Zealand, Gail Huff Brown was motivated to run for Congress by two events—America’s disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan and the birth of her grandchild.
Gail Huff Brown believes that President Biden’s decision to pull US troops out of Afghanistan and leave American citizens behind was a criminal act.
Despite being a Trump supporter, Gail Huff Brown concedes that Joe Biden is the duly elected President, but his election was due to loopholes in the election process which were put in place due to the COVID pandemic.
To ensure the integrity our election process, Gail Huff Brown puts forward a seven-point plan which includes the following: mandatory voter ID; increasing the penalties for and removing the five-year statute of limitations for voter fraud; and protecting states’ rights by preventing the federalizing of elections and thereby maintaining New Hampshire being the First in the Nation Presidential Primary.
Gail Huff Brown believes that the Biden Administration has mishandled the Russian invasion of Ukraine. She maintains that they have been slow and weak in their response to Russian aggression throughout and even before the actual invasion.
Additionally, she is convinced that the Biden policies which has caused us to lose our energy independence emboldened and enabled Putin to invade Ukraine.
Going forward, Gail Huff Brown accepts that this war in Ukraine could be a protracted conflict which could go on for years. She favors continued humanitarian and military aid to Ukraine.
“Ultimately, this is a fight between Russia, Ukraine, China, and the west and the United States of America. We have to look at the reality of that.”
