On NH Today: Morse Hits Biden on Russia, "We ought to get back to leading."

US Senate candidate, Chuck Morse on Biden’s foreign policy, “I think that we ought to get back to leading. That would start with closing the border. I think we should put sanctions in place on Russia today. I don’t know why we’re waiting. That’s a mixed message right there.”

In an interview with WGIR’s Chris Ryan, the President of the New Hampshire State Senate and candidate for US Senate, Chuck Morse, discusses the Biden Administration’s ineffective handling of the Russia-Ukraine dispute; addresses the immigration problem; talks about what our foreign policy stance should be; suggests ways to get inflation under control; and shares some information about his background.

Chuck Morse contends that the Biden Administration has been sending mixed messages to the world. Biden’s open border policy, willingness to be dependent on foreign oil sources, and a general lack of leadership has emboldened Russia, China, and North Korea.

“I think that we ought to get back to leading. That would start with closing the border. I think we should put sanctions in place on Russia today. I don’t know why we’re waiting. That’s a mixed message right there.”

To deal with immigration, Chuck Morse has a straight-forward solution--close the border and enforce the laws which are already on the books.

Chuck Morse also offers a common-sense approach of peace through strength in US foreign policy.

“Let’s show the rest of the world that we have our act together. Those three countries that you mentioned (Russia, China, and North Korea), they’re not seeing that from us. Countries that are with us, they’re not seeing it either.”

As a member of the New Hampshire legislature, Chuck Morse has been the architect of our state budget. He offers his opinion on why our country is being impacted by rising prices and how we can correct this inflationary trend.

Chuck Morse believes that the Biden energy policies, which caused us to go from energy independence to energy dependence, has raised prices for gas and heating fuel. Out of control federal spending is another cause of inflation.

“The money they’re spending in Washington should be as accountable as what we do here in New Hampshire.”

In the final segment of the interview, Chuck Morse shares some information about his background. He grew up in Salem, New Hampshire. His father was a World War II veteran, who had lost his hearing and had other issues which eventually led to his parents’ divorce.

Despite his mother working several jobs, there were financial problems for the family, so Chuck began a lawn mowing business and did odd jobs to help out. He managed to pay his way through college. He had to drop out a few times for financial reasons, but he got his degree in business from Plymouth State.

In 1988, Chuck Morse started his own business, Freshwater Farms in Atkinson. Over time, his business grew, and Chuck became involved in local government and then as a state representative and state senator. He has served as the President of the Senate for eight years.
